Camillo A. Papa 83, of Princess Ave., Cranston, passed away Thursday March 19, 2009 at Cedar Crest Nursing Centre, in Cranston. He was the husband of Giovannina (Moretti) Papa. Born in Monticelli, Italy, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Adelaide (Papa) Papa.Mr. Papa was a carpenter and cabinet maker for various local woodworking companies for many years, before retiring.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Dr. Alessandro Papa and his wife Dr. Gwyneth Granton of Saunderstown, RI, Dennis Papa and his wife Lori of Mosely, Virginia, his grandchildren, Jillian a fashion design major at Pratt Institute, in New York, City, Timothy a student at George Washington University, Washington, D.C., Casey a student at Clover Hill High School, Midlothian, Virginia and Daniel a student at Tomahawk Creek Middle School, Midlothian, Virginia, and his brother Virginio Papa of Katonah, New York and the late Clelia Moretti.
His funeral will be held on Monday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church Cranston at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
