Bruce L. Bury

62, of Cranston passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family and close friends on Friday, September 27, 2024. Bruce was the husband of Joann (Dail) Bury which he shared 34 years together.

Bruce was the son of the late Leonard and Ruth (Massey) Bury. He was predeceased by his brother Edward T. Massey. He is survived by his brother Thomas Massey and his wife Marilyn of Alabama and his two stepsons David A. DuBois, Jr. and his wife Jennifer and Aaron C. DuBois and his wife Maegan and four loving grandchildren Aaron Jr. (6), Owen (8), Lily (11) and Ryse (11).

Bruce was raised in Lincoln, RI but later moved to Attleboro, Massachusetts in his teenage years, when his family helped develop and manage the Oakhill Mobile Home Park.

Bruce graduated from Attleboro High School in 1980. He was an experienced Welder working at companies including Capco Steel, Blount Boats, Electric Boat & Garvey Precision Machine where he and his wife met.

Bruce loved the outdoors and spent endless weekends with his dearest friends at Worden’s Pond in Wakefield, RI. They enjoyed Ice, Freshwater and Saltwater fishing, Hunting, Golf and Shooting sports.

In addition to his immediate family and close friends, Bruce was especially proud to be part of his extended Wright Family of Lincoln. This relationship came from 80+ years of friendship between his mother Ruth and Ethel Wright, whom Bruce referred to as his Aunt Ethel.

The Bury family is grateful for the care, support and compassion from the Rhode Island Cancer Institute throughout his battle.

His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 4th at 11 a.m. at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by burial at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Thursday, October 3rd from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
