Brian P. McConaghy
51, of Cranston, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Daland) (Breedon) McConaghy. Born in Providence, he was a son of Leo Patrick McConaghy of North Providence and Judith (Carr) McConaghy of Cranston.
Brian worked as a Banking officer at Bank of America for 25 years. Brian graduated from CCRI and was a member of their golf team and also served on the Alumni Board for many years. He was a dedicated volunteer at the San Miguel School of Providence. He was member of U.S. Navy serving on the U.S.S. Iowa from 1985 - 1989. He was a man of great faith who loved to serve God. Being a sports enthusiast, he played golf often and enjoyed attending all his sons sporting events.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Bryan R. Breedon of Cranston, Justin M. Breedon of Cranston, Sean P. McConaghy of Warwick, and Logan T. McConaghy of Cranston; dear brothers James and David McConaghy both of Cranston; loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.
VISITING HOURS in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. His funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Cranston Christian Fellowship, 1114 Scituate Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the San Miguel School of Providence, 525 Branch Avenue, Providence, R.I. 02904.
