Betty Ann (Santoro) Fortin

88, a life long resident of Johnston, RI, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 28, 2024. She was born on October 9, 1936, in Providence, Rhode Island, to the late Carmino and Sarah (Pezza) Santoro. Betty was preceded in death by her former husband, Raymond Fortin, Jr, her daughter Cheryl Fortin, and her sisters, Angelina Mendonsa of Cranston, and Josephine Cipolla of Warwick.

Betty lived a fulfilling life marked by her dedication to family and her vibrant passions. She was a devoted travel agent, and a wonderful cook and cake decorator. Holidays were always filled with great tasting food and desserts. Her hobbies extended beyond the kitchen as she found delight in shopping, and the occasional trip to the casino. She enjoyed visiting with nieces and nephews, along with her trips to see her cousins in Marcianise, Italy,

She is survived by her 4 daughters, Debra Masse of Port-Charlotte FL, Michelle DuPont and her husband Gary of Rehoboth MA, Doreen Reilly of Burlington NC, and Karen Fortin of Johnston RI. She was the beloved grandmother of Danielle Belluscio, Michael DuPont, Justin Candeias, and Isabella Reilly.

The Celebration of Betty’s life will be on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church in Johnston, RI, where friends and family will gather to celebrate her life and honor the wonderful woman she was. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
