65, of Narragansett, RI and Hobe Sound, FL, formerly of Mahopac, NY, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, October 30, 2009 at home. She was the beloved wife of Salvatore F. Martirano, Sr. they were married for forty-seven years. Born in New Rochelle, NY, she was a daughter of the late Benny and Susan (Marolla) Martignetti. Dina was a teacher's aid in the Mahopac School Department for many years and was an administrator for Pace University until her retirement. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and was actively involved with the Johnny Cake Center. Dina was an avid golfer and enjoyed the beach with her grandchildren. Besides her husband she was the devoted mother of Salvatore F. Martirano, Jr. and his wife Eve of New York City, David J. Martirano and his wife Jennifer of East Greenwich, RI and the late Michael P. Martirano. Dina was the loving grandmother of Kyle, Ryan, Max, Kelsey, Chase, Lily, Emma, and Ruthie. She was the sister of Gerry Carideo of New Rochelle, NY. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her VISITING HOURS on Monday 5-8 p.m. in the Nardolillo Funeral Home, SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, (Rt.1A) Narragansett. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 9:45 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 225 East Lake Blvd., Mahopac, NY. Burial will be in Ballard-Barrett Cemetery, Mahopac Falls, NY.
