80, of North Scituate, R.I., passed away suddenly, on Wednesday, September 8th, 2021. He was the beloved husband of the late Elaine (DeAngelis) Zinanni. He was born in Providence, son of the late Bennie Zinanni and Antonetta (D’Agostino) Zinanni. Besides residing in Scituate for the past 42 years, Benny was a summer resident of Green Hill Beach, South Kingstown, R.I. for the past 52 years.
He is survived by his loving daughters Kimberly Zinanni Boghossian and Renee Zinanni both of North Scituate and his loving brother, and best friend Anthony J. Zinanni of Cranston, RI. He was the cherished "papa" of Alex and Matthew Boghossian.
Mr. Zinanni served as a Sergeant in the United States Airforce Reserve, 143rd command fleet from 1963-1969. In 1960, Mr.Zinanni began his career in the fashion jewelry industry. He joined the former Coro Company where he swiftly advanced to an executive vice president and co-founded R.N. Koch, Inc. in 1971 with offices in New York City and a factory in Providence, RI. Benny worked in this industry for 30 years before retiring in 1990. He was truly passionate and possessed so much wisdom about the jewelry business. He was a mentor to so many in his field. His large personality and strong work ethic made him outstanding. Throughout his career, he travelled to Europe and the Orient. Benny was an avid sports enthusiast and loved home cooked meals and spending time with his family. He loved the outdoors and landscaping his backyard. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.
A private entombment Christian burial service was held in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston, RI. A memorial mass will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, PO Box #91891, Washington, D.C. 20090 or nationalmssociety.org/Donate.
