BENEDETTO J. LANNI, Lt.PPD., Ret.
Benedetto J. Lanni Lt. PPD., Ret., 66 of Metropolitan Rd. Providence, passed away Sunday November 23, 2008 at Miriam Hospital, Providence.
He was the devoted husband of Judith (Sullivan) Lanni. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Bennie and Rose (Jannetta) Lanni.
Mr. Lanni was a Police Officer for the Providence Police Department for 38 years, retiring as Lt. in 2003. Mr. Lanni was presently employed as a security guard at Twin Rivers in Lincoln.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children Linda Colapietro of Scituate, and Sgt. Kevin M. Lanni ,PPD. of Providence, his grandchildren Sophia Colapietro and Gianna Lanni. He was the brother of the late Joan M. Brown.
His funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco's Church, Atwood Ave. Johnston at 10:a.m.
Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
