entered into eternal rest on November 30, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late Andrew Krekorian. Born in Pawtucket, RI, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Agnes (Malian) Kazarian.
She was a 1940 graduate of the former Pawtucket High School and attended the Hubbard Business School. She was employed by the City of Pawtucket as a secretary in Mayor Thomas McCoy's office. She also worked for the U.S. Civil Defense Department selling war bonds during World War II, receiving a citation from the federal government for selling the most war bonds in the City of Pawtucket. She married her beloved husband Andrew Krekorian in 1948, and in 1959 settled in Cranston with their two children. In 1966 she became employed by the RI Family Court in Providence as a court secretary reporting to Judge Edward Gallogly. She was active in the Women's Guild of the Armenian Euphrates Evangelical Congregational Church for many years. Beatrice was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her life was focused on caring for her family, with a special love of cooking Armenian food and entertaining her friends and family with story-telling and much laughter. Her husband of 22 years passed away in 1971. She later re-married to William Ashodian in 1988 and moved to Narragansett, where they enjoyed a love of the ocean.
She is survived by her cherished children - daughter, Joyce (Krekorian) Hurlbut and her husband Warren Hurlbut of Cranston; son, John Krekorian and his wife Laura (Dahlquist) Krekorian of Wakefield; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; her precious brother and sister-in-law Paul Kazarian and his wife Connie (DeCesaris) Kazarian of Cranston; her cherished sister-in-law Helen (Baronian) Kazarian, and cousin Peter Hazarian and many cherished nieces and nephews. She was a loving sister to the late: Martin "Jerry", Alice and George Kazarian and beloved sister-in-law Mary (Hazarian) Kazarian.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Saturday at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Swan Point Cemetery in Providence. VISITING HOURS SATURDAY MORNING 8:30-10:00 a.m.
