58, of 7 Hammond St., Mattapoisett, MA, formerly of 248 Ausdale Road, Cranston, passed away on Monday, October 25 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness and heroic struggle. He was the husband of Kate (Buckley) Lindia. Born in Providence, he was the son of Gloria (Lindberg) Lindia and the late Louis Lindia. Barry graduated from Cranston East High School and RIJC. He worked for the Providence Journal for over 30 years, most recently as an online advertising sales specialist. Barry was also a bartender at the Wannamoisett Country Club for many years. In addition to his wife and mother, Barry was the beloved father to three loving children, son Matthew and his wife Tori, daughter Kelly Lindia Maria, her husband Jeff, grandson Noah, and son Michael. He also leaves his sister Holly Edwards and her husband Walter M., brother Perry and his wife Margaret Murphy, aunts, uncle, nieces and nephews as well as many loving friends. Barry was the brother of the late Carrie Lindia. Barry was happiest as he sailed through Narragansett and Buzzards Bays, and we will always remember him this way. He was also an avid gardener, a music connoisseur and a loyal fan of the New York Giants. His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday, November 2nd at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ann Church, Cranston Street, Cranston at 10:15 a.m. VISITING HOURS: Monday 4:00-8:00 p.m.
