BARBARA S. (ARENA) NONNENMACHER

73, of Naples Ave., Providence and Delray Beach, FL passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. She was the beloved wife of Paul T. Nonnenmacher. She was born in Providence a daughter of the late Ralph and Clara ( Urso ) Arena. Barbara was a self-employed Real Estate Broker and was the sitting chairman of the City of Providence, Board of Tax Assessment Review for the past 26 years. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Pius Church and a volunteer for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for many years. Beside her husband she is survived by her sons, Paul Nonnenmacher Jr. and his wife Catherine of Newtown, CT and Ralph Nonnenmacher of Providence. She was the grandmother of Nicole Nonnenmacher and sister of the late Concetta Martini. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10am in St. Pius Church, Providence and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday, 4-8pm. Burial will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
