74, of North Attleboro, MA, formerly of Cranston, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, November 25, 2010 at home. Barbara was affectionately known as "Nana" to everyone. She was the former wife of the late Henry A. Mangili. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Carmela (DeLisi) DelMastro. Barbara was a bookkeeper for National Investments of Johnston for twenty-four years before retiring in 2009. She was also employed by the former Narragansett Hotel and DiVinci Creations, Tercat Tool and Dye, all of Providence. Barbara was a salutatorian graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, Class of 1954 and a recipient of the Susan B. Anthony Award. She was actively involved with the Leukemia Society of RI.
Barbara is survived by her loving children, Laurie B. Mangili-Gaines of Cambridge, MA and Paul H. Mangili and his wife Jane of North Attleboro, MA. She was the cherished grandmother of Francesca and Philip Gaines, and Matthew and Jon Mangili. Barbara was the sister of Richard "Rick" DelMastro of New Hampshire. She was the niece of Emma Ginevra. Barbara also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and her favorite spot at the beach.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco's Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Cranston.
