Barbara A. Grossi

Barbara A. (McCrudden) Grossi, 73 of West Kingston, formerly of Greenville and Johnston passed away Sunday July 9, 2023, with her family by her side in her home. Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Charles and Marjorie (Pike) McCrudden. She was the beloved wife of Lee Grossi, who survives her after nearly 54 years of loving marriage.

In her own words her greatest accomplishment was being a mom. She was a loving mother of three, a devoted grandmother of six, and a foster mother to eight infants. She was employed by the DMV, DCYF, Rhode Island College, and the Little Flower Home.  Alongside her husband Lee, she loved cruises and the annual autumn family trip to New Hampshire. Her home at Christmas was fondly referred to as Little La Salette, because of her many holiday decorations and parties.

Barbara is the cherished mother of Lora Grossi, David Grossi and his husband Stéphane Brun, and Michael Grossi and his wife, Jessica Grossi. She was also the beloved Nanny of Joshua, Sofia, Anna and Ava Grossi, as well as Samuel and Antonia Timpani. She was the loving sister of Charles McCrudden, Alice Konis and Mary Black.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday July 15, 2023, at 11:30 am at St. Phillip’s Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will be private. VISITING HOURS will be held from 8:30-10:30 am at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.
