Barbara Joan (Petteruti) Giguere

of Huntersville, NC, formerly of Cranston, RI and Bonnet Shores, RI, died on Saturday, October 16, 2021. She was born in Providence, RI on May 1, 1935 to Mary (Cannavo) Petteruti and Carmine Petteruti.

Barbara is survived by her husband Robert with whom she shared sixty-three years of marriage and a loving friendship that started in Barbara and Robert’s first year at the University of Rhode Island. She was the beloved mother of Jeffrey J. (Constance) Giguere of Providence, RI and Steven R. (Kathleen) Giguere of Davidson, NC. Barbara was the loving grandmother to Jeffrey Joseph Giguere, Jr., William John Giguere and Benjamin Steven Giguere. She was predeceased by her sister, Florence Catullo, and her brothers, Joseph C. Petteruti, Sr. and Carmine Petteruti, Jr.

Nothing gave Barbara more joy than spending time with her family and being especially close to her grandchildren. The memory of her love and laughter will bring warmth and comfort to all who knew her.

Visiting hours are Monday, October 25th from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., followed by a prayer service at 12 noon. Due to the pandemic, all attendees, vaccinated and unvaccinated, are requested to wear masks.  Burial services will be private.
