Avedis Apkarian

August 26, 1926 — October 14, 2018

Avedis Apkarian

of Scituate Ave., Cranston, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Kent Hospital in Warwick.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary (Mazmanian) Apkarian.

Avedis was a cartographer for the U.S. Government and a WW-II U.S. Navy veteran. He was a Graduate of Bryant College and Northeastern University.

He is survived by two daughters, Terry L. Somers of Warwick and Janet D. Timpson and her husband John of Narragansett; his grandchildren, Thom Denick and his wife Ji Young, Gabe Denick and his wife Kristy, Samantha Sabetti, Connor, Christopher and Carly Timpson; great-grandchildren, Tamiru and Dante; and his brother Greg Kaiser Apkarian of Englewood, FL.  He was the brother of the late Esther “Terry” Apkarian and Armenag Apkarian.

His funeral service with military honors will be private at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
