ATTILIO DeSANTIS

93, of Providence, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Mentina (DiCienzo) DeSantis. Born in Sulmona, Italy, he was the son of the late Carmine and Francesca (Ricci) DeSantis.

Attilio was a cook for the State of Rhode Island at the IMH for many years before retiring.

Besides his wife, he was the beloved father of Osvaldo "Val" DeSantis and his wife Jennie of Cranston and Frank DeSantis and his wife Doreen of Johnston; loving grandfather of Michael DeSantis and his wife Heather of Coventry and Danielle DeSantis of Cranston; loving great-grandfather of Nicholas and Jared. He was the dear brother of Costantino DeSantis of Cranston and the late Loreta, Marie Domenica, Albina, Laurina, Adelia, Teresa, Marianna, Giuseppe and Giulio. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Wednesday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 64 Brayton Ave., Providence at 10 a.m.

Entombment will be in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
