ASKANAZ "ARKY" NAJARIAN

Mr. Najarian was a decorated WW-II U.S. Army Air Corps veteran and served 18 months as a prisoner of war in Germany. He was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 35 years before retiring. He was past president of X-POW Chapter 1 and helped to enact legislation to benefit Rhode Island POW's; a member of Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church and past member of the church parish council; a member of the Knights of Vartan; a member of National Association of Letter Carriers; and a member of NARFE.

He was the devoted father of Cynthia N. Samoorian and her husband Vernon of Warwick, Janice N. Kavjian and her husband Andrew of Reading, MA, Mark A. Najarian of Long Beach, NY and the late Malcolm A. Najarian, Esq.; loving father-in-law to Mary Frances Najarian of Rumford; cherished grandfather of Marisa, Michael, Meredith, Amanda, Mary and Gregory; dear brother of the late Paul, Samuel and Raffie Najarian; and uncle to Richard and Paula Najarian.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Monday at 12 noon in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence, and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Sunday 5-9 p.m. Interment will be at Swan Point Cemetery in Providence.
