Asdghig "Starre" (Topalian) Najarian

of Providence, RI, passed peacefully on Saturday, November 20, 2021.  She was the daughter of the late Krikor and Sooltan (Mikaelian) Topalian.  She was pre-deceased by her husband, Moses “Joe” Najarian; her sister Baidzar (Topalian) Harrison; her brother Kacheg Topalian; and her son-in-law Charles Kelly.

Starre was legendary with her activity in her Armenian Church and community where she was a loyal and dedicated member. Above all she loved her family and friends who returned their love to her tenfold.

She is survived by her son Louis and his wife Elenne of Manhasset, NY, her daughter Barbara of Lexington, MA, and her daughter JoAnn and her husband Libarid of Providence.

She is also survived by her grandson Haig and his wife Taline, her grandson Berj and his wife Regina, her grandson Michael and his wife Brooke, her grandson Aram and his wife Meg, her grandson David and his wife Rachel, her grandson Matthew, her grandson Rafi, her granddaughter Seta and her grandson Ara and his wife Amanda.

Her ten great-grandchildren who loved her and learned from her are Tamar, Adrine, Sebu, Avedis, Charles, Ani, Andrew, James, Ciara and Kendra.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 24th at 11 a.m. in Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, 402 Broadway, Providence, followed by burial at North Burial Ground, Providence.  VISITING HOURS at CHURCH from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to Funeral Service.
