ARTHUR T. PERSICO

92, of Minnesota Ave., Warwick and formally of NY, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 11:50p.m. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth A. " Betty " ( Cipriano ) Persico. During their 65 years of loving marriage, they reveled in each other's company and in spending time with their family. Mr. Persico was a refrigeration and air conditioning technician employed by Borden's Milk for 25 years, after which, he was employed by Grand Union Supermarkets in NY for 5 years, until his retirement. He was a WW II Army Veteran and a recipient of the Bronze Star for the Bismark Archipelago Campaign. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society, the Legion of Mary and the Resurrection Parish all in NY and Immaculate Conception Parish in RI; he was also a member of the Teamsters Union local 854. Mr. Persico will be remembered for his enduring good nature, his unfailing humility, his devotion to his family and his great sense of humor. Beside his wife he is survived by his loving daughters, Bettyann Tudino and her husband, Michael, of Cranston and Emily Morgan and her husband, Hugh ,of Rye, NY. He was the cherished grandfather of Brendan Morgan, Beth McCabe, Kathryn Morgan and Cristina Tudino. He was the great grandfather of Richard James " RJ " McCabe. He was the brother of Angela DiLorenzo and Helen Scafariello , both of Gloversville, NY, Rudolph Persico of Florida and the late Catherine DiCaprio, Anne Nazic, Grace Carangelo, Thomas, Louis, Armand, twin brother Albert, Victor, Charles and Joseph Persico. His funeral will be held on Monday at 10am from the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Rd ( Rt1A) Narragansett followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Veronica Chapel, Boston Neck Rd., Narragansett at 11am. VISITING HOURS Sunday 4-8pm. Burial, with military honors, will take place in R.I. Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 245 Waterman St, Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906.
