ARTHUR LEITE

82, of Seekonk, MA, died, Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the home of his daughter in Houston, TX. He was the husband of Demetra (Stephanopoulos) Leite. They were married for sixty-four years. Born in Seekonk, MA, he was a son of the late Manuel and Evangeline (Amaral) Leite. Mr. Leite was a truck driver for Allied Van Lines for many years until his retirement. Mr. Leite was a US Navy veteran serving during WW II. Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Peter Leite and his wife Dori of Seekonk, MA, Constance Filkins and her husband Tom of Houston, TX, Elaine Blanar and her husband Sean of Naugatuck, CT. He was the father of the late Stephen and David Leite. Arthur was the grandfather of fourteen and the great-grandfather of twenty-five. He was the brother of Edward Leite of North Providence and the late Evangeline, Mary, Rose, Manuel, Joseph and Anthony Leite. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. followed by services at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will be in North Burial Ground, Providence.
