ARTHUR CALDARONE

95, of Cranston, RI, passed away at Rhode Island Hospital on Thursday, October 27, 2011. He died peacefully while being comforted by his family. Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Luigi and Rose (Marinelli) Caldarone.

Arthur lived a long life wrapped in the love of family, friends, and faith. He married Cletus (Christy) Caldarone after returning home as a World War II Veteran and moved to Cranston, RI, where he raised his two children. He was employed by Hemenway in East Providence, RI, retiring in 1981 as a Teamster. After the passing of his wife Cletus of 34 years, he spent the last 20 years with his companion, Beverly Midgley, sharing their lives and families.

Away from work, Arthur took great joy in spending time with his family, golfing, and fixing anything. He was full of spirit and touched the lives of numerous people with his warm smile and gentle nature. His family will forever cherish the memories of his devotion, warmth and love.

Arthur is survived by his long time companion, Beverly Midgley, his daughter Barbara and her husband Herb Gray, his son Stephen and his wife Dada, as well as grandson James Caldarone and granddaughter, Laura Caldarone, his sister Anita DeFusco and brother Vincent Caldarone. He was the brother of the late Lucio Caldarone, Thomas Caldarone and Helen Greco.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Ave. Cranston.

Burial will be private. VISITING HOURS Sunday 4-7 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Boys and Girls Clubs of Providence. Wanskuck Clubhouse 550 Branch Ave. Providence, RI 02904-2204.
