Arthur D. Bedard 79, of, Carpenter Rd. Scituate, (formerly of Cranston for many years) died on Thursday at home. He was the beloved husband of the late Victoria (Moretti) Bedard. Born in Cranston he was the son of the late Arthur D. and Emma (Salisbury) Bedard. Arthur Served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-1947. He worked for the A&P for over 30 years and for Brooks before retiring in 1990. He was a big fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New York Giants. He leaves his two sons, Arthur D. Bedard III of Providence, Richard A. Bedard of Scituate, and a daughter, Deborah A. Souza of Cranston, his six grandchildren, Lorna Jaymes, Laureen, Nicholas, Jordan and Lilly Bedard and Michele Souza, and a great-granddaughter, Samanta Jaymes. He was the brother of Ethel Vigneau, Barbara Jackson, Carol Iacobbo, and the late Frederick Bedard, Edward Bedard and Theresa Bussius. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Ann's Church, Cranston followed by interment in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
