Armando Macaruso 77, of Elwyn Street, Cranston died Thursday, August 2, 2007 surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Rose (Spaziano) Macaruso. They were married for forty-eight years. Born in Cranston he was a son of the late Joseph and Adelina (Borzacco) Macaruso. Mr. Macaruso was a foreman for the former M.A. Gamino Construction Company for many years. He was also a courier for Church Travel for twenty years before his retirement. Mr. Macaruso was a Korean War veteran serving in the US Army receiving the Combat Infantry Badge. He was a member of the Combat Infantrymen's Association, and a Charter member of the John Ruggierio American Legion Post in Cranston. Besides his beloved wife he is survived by his devoted children Dr. Paul A. Macaruso and his wife Lisa of Ashaway and Lisa Rose Medeiros and her husband Stephen of East Greenwich. Mr. Macaruso was the cherished grandfather of Daniel, Stephanie, Ellen, Elizabeth, Isabella and Gabrielle. He was the brother of Ada Kelley of Providence, Louis "Gino" Macaruso of Charlestown and Joseph Macaruso of Floral City, FL and Jerusalem, RI. His sense of humor and fun loving personality will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will be in Rhode Island Veteran's Cemetery, Exeter.
