Arlene F. (McKenney) Devine 81, formerly of Prospect Street, Cranston, died Thursday, November 27, 2008 at the Tockwotton Home, Providence. She was the wife of the late Charles E. Devine, Jr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Edward J. and Ethel M. (Hollis) McKenney. Mrs. Devine was a customer service representative for the former Zayre's and Ames Department Stores in Warwick for fifteen years before her retirement. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed casino slots. She is survived by her children, Cynthia A. Zbyr of Bristol, Charlene F. LeBrun of Warwick, Patricia A. Swanson, North Kingstown, Kathleen M. Gavigan, Ocala, FL, Charles E. Devine, III, Mary A Perez and Carol A. Devine, all of Warwick. Mrs. Devine was the grandmother of fourteen and the great-grandmother of twenty-one. She was the sister of Julia Plourde of Portsmouth and the late Edward M. McKenney, Jackie McKenney and Kathleen M. Cordiero. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. in St. Matthew's Church, Elmwood Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veteran's Cemetery, Exeter.
