ANTRANIK KHATCHADOURIAN, 86, of Crawford St., Cranston, passed away Monday, June 8, 2009 at home. He was the beloved husband of the late Angel (Ghazarian) Khatchadourian. Born in Aleppo, Syria, a son of the late Hagop and Mariam (Cheloian) Khatchadourian, he settled in Providence in 1969 and moved to Cranston in 1972.
Mr. Khatchadourian worked for the State of RI I.M.H. for 20 years before retiring and was a former barber. He was a member of Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church; Homenetmen Providence Chapter; a past member of RI Armenian Chorale and RI Barber's Union. He was the devoted father of Hagop Khatchadourian and his wife Anahid, and Maral Kachadourian, all of Cranston and Levon Khatchadourian and his wife Stacey of Smithfield; loving grandfather of Arees and his wife Megan, Harout and Hrant Khatchadourian and Vicken and Raffi Rachdouni; and dear brother of the late Archbishop Hrant Khatchadourian, Stepan Khatchadourian and Apraham Nersoyan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence, and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Friday 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in North Burial Ground Cemetery, Providence. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to: Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Church, 402 Broadway, Providence, RI 02909; and will be given to The Armenian Prelacy, Sts. Vartanantz Church and Homenetmen.
