82, of Cranston, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday February 3, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of 57 years to Emilia (Solimeno) Petrone.
Born in Formia, Italy he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Assunta (Lombardi) Petrone.
Antonio founded International Motor Group in 1981, prior he started as an apprentice mechanic at the age of thirteen. He was a "Master Mechanic" from 1950-1959 in Formia, Italy and immigrated to the US in 1959 and trained @ Lamborghini from 1965- 1969. He enjoyed gardening, making wine, ballroom dancing, fishing and spending time with his family and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots and Team Napoli.
Besides his wife he was the beloved father of Leonardo Petrone and his wife Bernadetta of Cranston, Maria Farley and her husband David of Cranston, Franco Petrone of Richmond, Antonio Petrone, Jr. and his wife Renee of Cranston and Tina Sandbach and her husband Mark of Johnston; loving grandfather of fifteen and dear brother of Iolanda Maddalena of Formia, Italy.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church 1525 Cranston Street Cranston at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
