97, of Brettonwoods Drive Cranston, died on Monday January 14, 2008 at the Cedar Crest Nursing Centre, Cranston. He was the beloved husband for 66 years of Helen (Marzilli) Gama. Mr. Gama was an Automobile Mechanic for the Federal Government. He worked at the Quonset Point Naval Station for over 30 years. He was an Army Veteran of WW-II and participated in the Normandy Invasion on D-Day. He was a member of the Italian Veterans of Foreign Wars. Besides his wife he is survived by one son: Joseph Gama of Cranston and one daughter: Helene Chase and her husband Joel of Cranston. He was the grandfather of Shara Almeida and her husband Fernando of Cranston. He was also the brother of the late Anna Grande, Panfilo, Louis and Peter Gama.His funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Avenue Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul, Providence at 10:00am. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Wednesday 4-8pm.
