90, of Cranston, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013. He was the husband of Marie (Aucone) D'Antuono and the late Rose (Pisaturo) D'Antuono. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Domenico and Filomena (Verdolotti) D'Antuono. Tony was a respected chef at the Chalet Restaurant, The Old Canteen, Camille's Roman Garden, and the Ledgemont Country Club. He was a US Navy veteran serving during WW-II on the USS Block Island aircraft carrier. Tony was an avid golfer, card player, and was always in attendance at his grandchildren's school and sporting events. Besides his wife he is survived by his son, Steven D'Antuono and his wife Maribeth of Cranston. Tony was the cherished Poppy of Nicole and Christopher. He was the brother of Angela Montefusco of Cranston and Louis D'Antuono of Narragansett, and the late Michael D'Antuono, Marion Guarini, Luigi D'Antuono, Carmino D'Antuono and Rose Macera. Per Tony's wishes, his funeral and burial will be private and visiting hours respectfully omitted.
