Antonio Canzone, 88, of Prudence Ave., Providence, died Saturday, August 4, 2007 at Morgan Health Center in Johnston. He was the beloved husband of the late Della (Verino) Canzone.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Guido and Sarah (Zompa) Canzone, he was a lifelong Providence resident.
Mr. Canzone was a self employed cement finisher with Canzone Brothers for 50 years, before retiring.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of both WW-II and Korean War. He was a member of Amici Club in West Warwick.
Mr. Canzone was the devoted father of John Canzone and Anthony Canzone, both of Cranston; loving grandfather of Dayna Canzone, Sherri George and Stephanie Coppotelli; loving great-grandfather of Christopher George and Nikolas George; and dear brother of Anna Collins of Providence and the late Arthur Canzone.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Bartholomew's Church, Laurel Hill Ave., Providence, and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Tuesday 5-9 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
