Antonietta (di Cristofaro) DelVecchio

86, of Providence, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Fortunato DelVecchio. Born in Roccamonfina, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Gabriele and Laura (Iannalfo) di Cristofaro. Antonietta loved sharing her story of when she immigrated from Italy to the United States. She was told when she got to America, she would see a beautiful lady which was the Statue of Liberty and that’s when she knew she made it. Antonietta loved spending her time with her family and friends and reminisce of the past. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, gardening, shopping, and dancing especially with her husband Fortunato.

She is survived by her loving children, Battistina Russo and her husband Robert of Cranston, Emanuella Petrucci and her partner Mark Haskins of Cranston, Erminia Lindsay of Cranston, and Marco DelVecchio and his partner Kelly Varatta of Coventry. She was the cherished grandmother of Robb Russo Jr., Charissa DelVecchio and her husband Ducer Tchikangwa, Riana Russo, Marco DelVecchio Jr., Mikala Petrucci, Geneva Lindsay, and Nadia DelVecchio. She was also the cherished great grandmother of Aria and Gia Tchikangwa, and the proud godmother of House Minority Leader Blake A. Filippi. Antonietta also leaves behind many relatives in the US and Europe.

Her visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 30th, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, Providence. Burial is kindly omitted.
