86, of Johnston, died Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Cherry Hill Manor, Johnston. She was the beloved wife of James C. Vanner; they were married for sixty-one years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Antonetta (Russo) Morra. Mrs. Vanner was employed by various jewelry companies in the Providence area for many years until her retirement. Her most favorite thing was spending time with her beloved granddaughter Marissa. Antonetta enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, reading, floral arranging, making braided rugs and she loved plants. Besides her husband she is survived by her loving daughter Audrey L. Pate and her husband Frank of Johnston. She was the cherished grandmother of Marissa Pate. Antonetta was the sister of Adeline Lonardo of Warwick, Anthony and Florindo Morra both of Johnston, Salvatore Morra of MA and Anna Ploude of Cranston and the late Louis and Pasco Morra. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Atwood Avenue, Johnston.
