Antonetta (Cipriano)Rossi, 97 of the Silverlake section or Providence, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Antonio and Gustina (Baldi) Cipriano and the beloved wife of the late Joseph Rossi.
“Etta”, as she was known to all, found great joy in spending quality time with her family and friends. Her passion was being able to cook and feed everyone, and all were welcomed at her table. She was a long-time employee of Stop and Shop and once retired, she could be found cooking at her family’s deli, Rossi’s Cold Cuts.
Etta was a devoted mother to the late Marie DePasquale and her late husband Philip DePasquale Sr., Teresa Sousa and her husband Manuel Sousa and Angelo Rossi. She was a loving grandmother to Philip DePasquale, Jr. and his late wife Nancy DePasquale, Lisa Marie Acquaro and her husband Fred Acquaro, Justine Notardonato, and Lauren Rossi. She was great grandmother to Philip DePasquale, III. She was the sister of the late Anna Stabile, Josephine Amara, Pia Lanzi, Gaetano, William, Henry, and Bartholomew Cipriano. She was also sister to the late Rose Romano, who she lived with at their family home all their lives, even after they both married. They then both went to Kent Regency, sharing a room until Rose’s passing in 2014.
All services will be private. Donations in her memory can be made to Kent Regency Activities Fund, 600 Commonwealth Ave., Warwick, RI 02886.
