ANTONETTA "ETTA" (FERRANTI) FERNANDES

86, of Johnston, died Friday, September 25, 2009 at Golden Crest Nursing Home, North Providence. She was the wife of the late William T. Fernandes. Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lena (Gelardi) Ferranti. Mrs. Fernandes was a bookkeeper for her family's former business, Morden Paper Box Company of Providence for thirty-five years until her retirement. She was the aunt of Robert J. Ferranti, Sarah A. Pezza, Charlene Caparrelli, Beverly Palumbo and David Romano. Etta was the great-aunt of Sara Ferranti, Brianna Caparrelli and Stephen Mollicone, Jr. and the great-great aunt of Jordan Caparrelli. Mrs. Fernandes was the sister of the late Salvatore "Charlie" Ferranti and Frank E. Ferranti. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
