Antonetta M. “Netta” (Iantosco) DiSanto, 88, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2022 at the Cottage Residence at Briarcliffe in Johnston, where she had resided for the past five years. Netta was the beloved wife of Salvatore C. DiSanto, Sr. for 68 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Frances (Grimo) Iantosco.
Netta was a devoted wife and mother, loving sister, aunt, cousin and loyal friend. Anyone close to Netta knew her love of clothes shopping and decorating. Chico’s was her favorite store. She had a passion for driving and a need for speed. She loved entertaining and cooking for her family and friends. Her Christmas cookies were second to none. Netta was extremely generous towards charities benefitting children. She enjoyed socializing and golfing at the Alpine Country Club, Cranston, RI and spending winters in Boca Raton, Florida. Also, Netta and Sal loved their trips to Italy to visit family. She was the loving mother of Salvatore C. DiSanto, Jr. and daughter-in-law Linda of North Scituate, Joseph DiSanto of Chandler, AZ, and Christine DiSanto of North Providence. She was the sister of Joseph Iantosco of North Smithfield.
The Di Santo Family would like to extend our deepest appreciation to Akshay Talwar, Stefany Reed and the CNA’s, nurses, and all the wonderful staff at the Briarcliffe Cottage who cared for our mother with dignity, compassion and love. We are forever grateful to Briarcliffe for the outstanding care, patience and kindness showed to our mother daily.
A special thank you to Continuum Hospice Care who provided Netta with quality care and comfort. We are grateful for the compassion and attention our mother received, while providing support and consolation to family members. Their warmth and kindness ensured a peaceful passing.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 9-10 am in the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in Holy Apostles Church 800 Pippin Orchard Rd, Cranston. Burial will be private.
