ANTHONY J. SERIO, SR

56, of Steere Ave., North Providence, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the beloved husband of Sharon M. (Boudah) Serio. Born in Northampton, MA, he was the son of Mary G. (Baldasaro) Serio of Northampton and the late Leborio J. Serio.

Anthony was Chief MRI Technologist for CMMIC in Worcester, MA for the past 23 years. He was actively involved as a Gold Star Parent; and was a member of ARRT and NMTCB.

Besides his wife and mother, he was the devoted father of ABF2 Anthony J. Serio, Jr. U.S.N. and his wife Rebecca of Virginia Beach, Virginia, HM2 Christopher J. Serio U.S.N. and his wife Mauria of North Providence and the late L. Cpl. Matthew Kenneth Serio U.S.M.C.; dear brother of Maria F. Serio-D'Nofrio and her husband E. David of Northborough, MA and Patrick E. Serio and his wife Sally A. of Hadley MA; brother-in-law of BethAnn Boudah Chapman and her husband Walter of Juneau, Alaska; and son-in-law of the late Kenneth and Julie (Kowal) Boudah. Anthony is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and his loving dog Auggie.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in Mary Mother of Mankind Church, Fourth St., North Providence and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Wednesday 4-8 p.m. Interment will be at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston.
