ANTHONY R. "TONY" RUSSO

65, of Vero Beach Florida, passed away Wednesday December 29, 2010 at Sebastian River Medical Center in Sebastian Florida.

He was the devoted husband of Maureen A. (Carcieri) Russo for the past 43 years.

Born in Providence, he had moved to Vero Beach, Florida 6 years ago after being a long time resident of Johnston, and was the beloved son of Phyllis (DeAngelis) Russo of Johnston and the late Carl Russo. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran during the Vietnam Era.

Mr. Russo had worked for Martin Copeland Co. in East Providence for 15 years, and MJ Enterprises of Johnston for 9 years before partnering his own company, Genesis Properties. He loved Harley Davidson's and classic cars, and served his local church in senior ministries and as a deacon.

Besides his wife and mother he was the devoted father of Brian A. Russo and his wife Ana of Pascoag, RI and Darren M. Russo and his wife Tara of Vero Beach, FL.; loving grandfather of five; and dear brother of Robert Russo of Johnston and Carl Russo of Cranston; and multiple nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend services on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Greater R.I. Baptist Temple 671 Greenville Ave. Johnston, followed by interment in St. Ann Cemetery Cranston. VISITING HOURS THURSDAY MORNING 9:30 - 11:00 A.M. AT GREATER R.I. BAPTIST TEMPLE.
