ANTHONY RICCI, 91, of Wayland Ave., Cranston, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at RI Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Anna D. (DeGeorge) Ricci.
Born in Johnston, a son of the late Guisseppe and Angelica (Ballestrino) Ricci, he resided in Cranston since 1950.
Mr. Ricci was a production controller at the former Quonset Point Naval Air Station in North Kingstown for 30 years, before retiring. He was a Master Sergeant with the 1503rd Army Air Forces during WW-II. He was a Trustee of the Cranston Public Libraries; a member of Knightsville Library Association; Kelley & Gazzero Post; St. Mary's Feast Society; and United Commercial Travelers.
Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Joseph A. Ricci and his wife Priscilla of Abingdon, MD, Anthony D. Ricci and his wife Linda of Cranston and David P. Ricci and his wife Laura Kofoid of Chicago, IL; loving grandfather of Julie Manzi, and Elizabeth, Christopher, Amy, Steven, Simon and Chun Jie Ricci; and dear brother of Angelina Barone of East Providence, Anna DeFusco of Camarillo, CA, Lena Almonte of South Yarmouth, MA, Orlando Ricci and Vincent Ricci, both of Johnston, Ronald Ricci of North Providence and the late John, Oliver, Carmine, Ralph and Alfred Ricci.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Cranston St., Cranston at 10:00 a.m.
Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
