Anthony "Buddy' Carmine Politelli 82, of Cranston, passed away August 9, 2009. He was the beloved and devoted husband of Rose C. (Apici) Politelli for 61 years. He was the son of the late Carmino and the late Jennie (Capirchio) Politelli. Anthony served in the U.S. Navy at the end of World War II. He was an avid Yankee fan and had a passion for music. He was the lead singer and trumpet player of the Aristocrats band for many years until his sickness. He was a lifetime member of the Providence Federation of Musicians. He worked for Electric Boat for 25 years and later for McLaughlin Automotive. Anthony was past president and treasurer of the Holy Name Society for St. Bartholomew Church. He also sang in the choir, was a Eucharistic Minister, an adult altar server, as well as a member of the St. Bartholomew Feast Society. He was also a member of the Men of St. Joseph's Society. Besides his wife, he is survived by his grandson Patrick Politelli and his wife Christine, and his great grandson Gabrael Anthony Politelli. He was the brother-in-law of Emma Urbani and the late John Urbani. He was the father of the late Anthony Politelli and brother of the late Edward Politelli. His funeral will be held on Thursday at 9 am from the Nardolillo Funeral Home, 1278 Park Avenue Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Bartholomew Church, Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday 4-8 pm.
