Anthony N. Petracca

91, of Providence and Narragansett passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022. He was the son of Anthony and Philomena “Fanny” (Parente) Petracca and is survived by his wife Bernice (Ionata) Petracca. They were married for 61 years. He was the father of Dr. Joan Petracca and her husband Dr. Thomas Schuetz and the late Anthony J. Petracca.  He was the brother to Angela D’Amico, AnnMarie Terilli and the late John F. Petracca. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He and his brother John ran Anthony’s Market on Plainfield Street until he retired and became a Charter Fisherman out of the port of Galilee where he was known as Captain Tony of The Reel Time.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, April 9th, from 8:00-9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, Hartford Avenue, Providence. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. The family requests that masks be worn to all inside services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 220 North Main Street, Suite 104, Natick, MA 01760,  www.cff.org, or HopeHealth Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
