Anthony Moroni

90, of Cranston, passed away after a brief illness on Friday, August 27, 2021 at the HopeHealth Hospice Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Eleanor (Ruggieri) Moroni for 63 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Ciriaco and Teresa (Della Iacono) Moroni.

Anthony was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He then went on to work as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service for many years before retiring. Anthony was a man of great faith, and a devout parishioner of Holy Apostles Church in Cranston. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Linda M. Moroni of Charlestown, MA. He was the dear brother of Chet Moroni of North Providence, the late Enrico, Luigi and Michael Moroni. He also leaves his dear nephew, David Moroni.

VISITING HOURS will be held in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Tuesday morning from 9:00 – 10:00 am. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Holy Apostles Church at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
