ANTHONY J. MORETTI

96, of Union Ave., Providence, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Phillip Hulitar Hospice In-Patient Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of 72 years to the late Alberta (Zoglio) Moretti. Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late Damiano and Annunziata (Moretti) Moretti. Anthony worked for the RI Department of Transportation for 20 years, before his retirement. He was known as a very kind, loving and caring man. He was the devoted father of Lucille LaFazia and her husband Frank of Johnston, and Daniel Moretti and his wife Nancy of Johnston; loving grandfather of Lori Guglielmetti, Dawn LaFazia, Dawn Vitale, and Dalaina Moretti; and loving great grandfather of Steven Guglielmetti, Marissa Guglielmetti, Daniella Vitale and Stephanie Vitale. He was the dear brother of Ann D'Abbraccio of Cranston, and the late Peter, Pasquale, Carmen, and Victor Moretti, and Nancy DiBlasi. His funeral will be held on Thursday at 10 am. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bartholomew's Church, 297 Laurel Hill Ave., Providence at 11 am. Interment will be at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston. VISITING HOURS Thursday morning from 9am - 10 am.
