93, of Ft. Lauderdale, formerly of Cranston, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at his residence. Born in Providence, Anthony was the son of the late Giovanni and Raffaela (Viscianni) Marzilli.
He was the father of Anthony John Marzilli (Christa) and the cherished grandfather of Caryssa Deutsch (Scott) and Dante Marzilli. He also leaves his longtime companion, Patti Reilly. He was the dear brother of the late Theresa Santopietro, Helen Gama, Angela Nevadonski, and Evelyn Sleszynski.
Anthony was a master plumber and owner of the former Marzilli Construction Company for many years. He was also an army veteran and served overseas in the Korean War.
Known for his sense of style, Anthony was an avid skier and boating enthusiast. He also traveled worldwide, most frequently to his beloved Italy, where he maintained a dual citizenship. A Sinatra fan, Anthony was also affectionately known as the “Chairman of the Board”. His greatest pleasure, however, was spending time with family and friends as well as sharing his knowledge and expertise.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, March 20th at 9:00 am at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am, while social distancing guidelines and use of face masks will be in place. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Kindly omit flowers. Memorial Contributions may be made to: American Diabetes Association, P.O.
