85, of Cranston passed away on Sunday May 2, 2010 at Cedar Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Cranston. He was the beloved husband of Etta (DiFazio) Marrocco. Anthony was born in Providence, a son of the late Pasquale and Rosina (Gautieri) Marrocco. Mr. Marrocco was a self employed construction worker, and was a WW II Navy veteran. In the Navy, Anthony piloted the landing crafts in six invasions in WW II. Anthony was a Rhode Island Hero, and a lover of dancing.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews , and was the brother of the late Florence Avella, Marie Sorbo, Philomena Venditelli, Grace Iacobucci, Adele Calise, Fred, Lewis, Domenick, Vincent, John and Antonio Marrocco.
His funeral will be held on Thursday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Rocco's Church Atwood Ave. Johnston. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday 5-8 pm.
