Anthony Ronald Mancini, Ron or Ronnie as he was known to his friends and family, 57, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at his home in Cranston, surrounded by his loving parents. Born in Providence, he was the youngest son of Raymond T. and Ann T. (DiVona) Mancini and the brother of Deborah A Morrocco (Gary), Raymond T Mancini Jr (Carlene), and Kenneth J Mancini Sr (Karen).
Ron will be remembered for his artistic creativity, quest for learning and nonconformist ideals. He lived his life on his own terms. Ron’s passion for music led to writing and producing original songs, and his creativity manifested in other endeavors such as screenplay writing and comedy. He could often be found at the piano or with a guitar. He had a passion for medieval and renaissance history, and he livened during the fall months in period costume at King Richard’s Faire.
Family was a central part of Ron’s life, and he was often with his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nephews. Always the life of any party, his unmistakable laugh, quick wit, and warm smile filled our family with joy and comfort. His ability to make all feel welcome is a lasting legacy.
Besides his parents and siblings, Ronnie is survived by his nieces and nephews: Derek Morrocco, Matthew Morrocco, Kristina Morrocco (William Nugent), Elizabeth Morrocco, Raymond Thomas III, Nicolas Mancini, Jacquelyn Mancini (Aaron Burwick), Kenneth Mancini Jr. (Lindsey), Thomas Mancini, and Andrew Mancini. As well as his two great nephews Zachary Burwick and Rory Nugent.
Private services will be held.
