70, of Cranston, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, May 8. 2022.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Anthony J., Sr. and Della Y. (Scolardi) DeSpirito.
He graduated from New England Institute of Technology.
Tony worked in real estate for Coldwell Banker and had been a longtime caregiver for his father. He also owned his own business delivering monthly publications to different establishments.
A talented percussionist, he played in several bands including Tiger Lily, Fever, Stonehenge, Minus Linus and Free & Easy. He was also a Boston Celtic, Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.
He was a longtime parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church and was a member of the St. Joseph Men's Guild.
He was the brother of Karen Nastari (Ernest) and David DeSpirito
(Andrea); the devoted uncle of Regina DeSpirito and Nicholas Nastari; and also leaves family and friends.
His funeral will be held Friday, May 13, 2022 at 9am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Immaculate Conception Church, 237 Garden Hills Drive, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929 or to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
