of Cranston, passed away at 6pm on Friday, October 9, 2009. Anthony was a veteran of World War II, having been drafted a few days after his eighteenth birthday. After being honorably discharged, he married his teenage sweetheart, Mary Sionne, of Cranston. Anthony and Mary were married for sixty years, and raised a son, David DeAngelis, 46, also currently of Cranston. Anthony is survived by his wife and son, as well as his niece and nephew, Carmen and Philip D'Ercole, of Warwick. Anthony worked as a Jet Engine Specialist for the government at the Naval Air Rework Facility (NARF) at Quonset Point until the early 70's. He also worked at Electric Boat in Groton and at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in Connecticut as a Quality Inspector for the Government. So that his wife and son could stay in Cranston, he carpooled many miles each morning. Anthony sacrificed in such ways his entire life. Tony to his friends, Anthony was known for his passion for politics and his incredible generosity of spirit. If you were his friend and you needed help with anything, you just knew that Anthony would always be there for you and always offer to help. His knack for coming up with unique and ingenious ways to fix and build things earned him the nickname "Mr. Fixit" from his wife. His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ann's Church Cranston St., Cranston at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
