ANTHONY CORVESE

85, of Johnston, passed away on Saturday September 18, 2010 at Cherry Hill Manor, Johnston. He was the beloved husband of Evelyn (Pompeii) Corvese. Anthony was born in Providence, the son of the late Serafino and Rosina (Fera) Corvese. Mr. Corvese was a Providence Fire Fighter for 30 years until his retirement in 1986. He was also a WW II US Marine Corps veteran. Besides his wife Evelyn, he is survived by his loving sons, Kenneth A. Corvese and his wife Ann of Cumberland and Robert K. Corvese and his wife Mary of Warwick. He was also the cherished grandfather of 4, great grandfather of 1, and brother of Flora DiOrio of North Providence and the late Gloria Kayajanian. His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Holy Cross Church, Hartford Ave. Providence. Burial with military honors will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Tuesday 4-8 pm.
