Anthony "Tony" Corvese 78, of Blindbrook Drive, Narragansett, formerly of Ardmore, Rosemont and Haverford, PA, died Friday, November 16, 2007 at Yale-New Haven Hospital, New Haven, CT. Born in Cranston; he was a son of the late Carmine and Elizabeth (Lato) Corvese. Mr. Corvese was the owner of Sophisticated Treasures of Bryn Mawr, PA as well as the owner of the Italian American Bicentennial Corporation. He was a member of the original team for the development and marketing of premium coins and medallions for the Franklin Mint of PA, and he created marketing premium programs for companies like TV Guide until his retirement. Mr. Corvese resided in Narragansett for the past four years. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He is survived by his loving daughter Lisa A. Corvese of Cos Cob, CT and Narragansett and was the father of the late Harry B. Corvese, Sr. Mr. Corvese was the father-in-law of Doreen Corvese of Cranston. He was the cherished grandfather of Alexandra Bourque, Jennifer Bourque, Harry B. Corvese, Jr. and Matthew Corvese. Mr. Corvese was the brother of Carmine "Cal" Corvese and his wife Teolinda, Ronald Corvese and his wife Rebecca, all of Johnston and Robert Corvese and his wife Mary Jane of Wakefield. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church, 864 Point Judith Road, Narragansett and may call at the Nardolillo Funeral Home SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, Rt.1A, Narragansett on Tuesday 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
