ANTHONY CASACALENDA

82, of Cranston, died Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at home. He was the husband of Josephine (Mansolillo) Casacalenda. They were married on May 28, 1949. Born in Cranston; he was a son of the late Leonardo and Gabriela (Fabio) Casacalenda. Mr. Casacalenda was employed by Sears for thirty years and was also a projectionist at the Park Theatre in Cranston for many years until his retirement. Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Sandra Casacalenda of Cranston and Dr. Anthony L. Casacalenda of North Carolina. Anthony was the grandfather of Jennifer and Mary Casacalenda both of North Carolina. His loves included his wife, children, granddaughters, gardening and carpentry. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Bartholomew's Church, 297 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
