83, of Jamestown passed away peacefully at her home on March 28, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of James G. Pemantell who passed just three days prior.
Born in Scranton, PA she was a daughter of the late Leo and Florence (Savokas) Gracik.
Mrs. Pemantell worked as a phlebotomist for many years before retiring.
She was a skilled baker and enjoyed making birthday cakes for children. She liked to attend plays and listen to music. A devout Catholic, she was a communicant at St. Mark Church where she was an active volunteer.
She leaves her two children, Mary Elizabeth Titmas and her husband John and James L. Pemantell and his wife Jennifer; a sister, Nancy Simons; and four grandchildren, Brigitte Desvaux, Marcel Desvaux, August Pemantell and Lucien Pemantell. She was the sister of the late Leo and Joseph Gracik.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 10am in St. Mark Church, 60 Narragansett Avenue, Jamestown. Burial will follow in St. Mark Cemetery. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 7312, Warwick, RI 02887 or to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215.
