She was the dear sister of the late Nicholas D'Aguanno and the late Angela (D'Aguanno) Ancona. She leaves behind her dear sister-in-law and loving friend Theresa Daigle.
Annemarie graduated Mount Pleasant High School in 1952 with numerous honors and where she met her husband of 68 years. She worked as a secretary for a few years before becoming a full-time mom to her children. Later, she retired from Rhode Island College after 25 years of dedicated service to several departments as an administrative secretary. Her outstanding office skills and pleasant disposition were assets that were noted by all who had the pleasure of working with her.
Annemarie was an accomplished cook and baker who enjoyed nothing better than preparing feasts for her family and friends who visited her and John in their Cape Cod home and Florida condo. Holidays were her special time to produce traditional Italian delicacies, especially on Christmas Eve with an array of the seven fishes. She also was an avid reader, a life-long learner and lover of walking the beaches and roads of North Truro, Cape Cod where she spent many happy days with her husband, family and friends.
Wife, Mom and Mema were Annemarie's primary roles of which she executed with immense love, compassion and joy. Her strength throughout her life was her strong Christian faith which she relied on throughout her illness and ultimately, her passing from this world. Our mom was greatly loved and will never be forgotten. Our solace is that she is finally reunited with the love of her life, our dad.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11am in St. Robert Bellarmine Church , Johnston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted and her burial will be private.
